[Closed] Looking for Ranger to stop thief

Postby Shadowbreak » Tue Aug 25, 2009 3:48 am

Hi there as the tittle says, I need a ranger to help me stop a thief from continuously stealing from me. I am preparing beer and cheese for the upcoming ragnarok party but the thief has been continuously stealing me for the past few days. I have tracked down his hearth but apparently its behind the walls of Dun Goonheim. Price is negotiable but as I have said, I have been hit robbed quite often.

Contact Pumpkin, and see if Goonheim will stick to this.

alright but I am in the process of finding a second thief. This one is not from Goonheim as far as I can tell so I will still need a ranger for that one.

Not to break your heart or anything, but you know Pumpkin's not in charge of Goonheim, right? Pumpkin's in charge (loosely) of the southeast.

I believe the idea is that Pumpkin has either worked out some kind of deal with Goonheim's leaders, or that he will forcibly remove the thief from Goonheim. The latter I would find amusing.

The reason I would find it amusing, is that Goonheim has been harboring many criminals, lately. I am not pleased with that, at all.

As a goon, I have no idea what the fuck you're talking about. Pumpkin is not in charge of goons, he is in charge (apparently) of the southeast. Goonheim is not a democracy, it's a dictatorship. Delamore is our leader, and he's the only one with official authority to do whatever on behalf of all goons or as Goonheim itself instead of as an individual. If Shadowbreak doesn't live in Pumpkin's land, Pumpkin is not protecting him from theft -- from any theft, not just theft by goons or whatever you're thinking. The thief could be hearthed right next to Shadowbreak's claim, and Pumpkin will not be obligated to kill him.

All Pumpkin did was write up the Goonheim info sheet on the forums, which is what was being quoted. He didn't put those policies in place, nor does he have the authority to enforce them, last I saw.

Yes, yes, we know all of that. What I was saying is what it looked like Potjeh was insinuating, at first glance. Further thought on the subject caused me to theorize that he was joking. In which case, it appears that neither of us got the joke.

Well I guess I won't be needing a ranger since the attacks have died down and no one has offered their services. I think I should mark this thread closed b4 it gets speculative on Pumpkin's authority.
