What would anyone want for a Thanes ring? If there is any gold and silver out there?

That would depend completely on what you were looking for, could you go into specifics?
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

Well, I didn't know the base quality of the fine metals, so, I'd say something 30q. I'm a medium skilled player, and I wanted this to help with my hunting. It doesn't help that I'd be trading with you Blaze, and there's nothing I could offer you that you don't have/couldn't get. :P
