If you want to trade easily obtainable stuff for metal, try selling linen. It is a lot of work, but it's pretty much guaranteed you'll sell it, and quality is irrelevant.

Re the boar tusks: I'll have some, which I deem to be good quality leathers, become available soon, which I hope to trade with, if there's a market. However, do you feel there is any worth in coverting some of those leathers into Boar Tusk Helms with the subject boar tusks... or will there be no market for that either and I would have merely waisted good leathers?

unelss it's Q50+ there is no demand for it. Personally I produce Q70+ with the assistance of people procuring us HQ leather.
