Looking for a talented smith to make me a cauldron.

Postby roundedge » Sun Oct 18, 2009 1:27 am

I've got six metal bars, and I want to make a good cauldron with them.

The quality of the bars are 38, 38, 38,40,54,63

so I imagine I'd need a player with a smithing skill higher than 45 to get my bars worth out of the cauldron, is that right?
Anyways, name your price.

skills don't matter for things in the build menu. only the q of materials. and for cauldrons i'm not 100% sure q matters.

he's right. Skills have no effect on buildable objects. Go nuts. =)

Cauldron Q affects nothing.

There was a bug recently which let you increase (i. e. decrease) water quality with your cauldron. q 747 water yay :P . The cauldron quality mattered there.

PS: The bug is fixed, nothing to worry about :P.

Are you sure? I was comparing notes with a neighbour, and his butter-steamed cavebulbs come out the same as mine, in spite of him using lower quality butter. We're using the same water. He's a good smith, so his cauldron is probably better than mine, and we figured that had to be it. My cooking is fairly decent, so I doubt that's the problem.
