Sabinati isn't being quite so creative here. It entirely depends on the layout of your area and if you have a village. You can brickwall a village on a diagonal cliff for 10 wrought and no steel. I'd consider selling a wrought for about 50-70 piros depending on quality and after conferring with my labor and sources. Other accepted means of payment may be considered on The Innsmouth Emporium. Mostly, linen & baked goods.
If you don't have cliffs, and you don't have a village, you can still consider buying wrought and cast and making YOUR OWN DAMN STEEL. Since quality is irrelevant and peeps are charging an arm and a leg for it, wrought quite a bit cheaper than steel and if you're just making gates and statues you can buy wrought and process it yourself with a bit of cheap cast. Making steel has nothing to do with being industry/nat and you get 1:1 wrought:steel on your process.
And here's how it's done: Cabin wall north to south, Build two brick wall cornerposts (300 brick, 10 wrought ea) 2 spaces apart with the southermost or northmost being aligned to the edge of the last cabin. Run the wall right into the cabin side. Run it down and one extended cornerpost for 5 wrought to bend the wall into the bottom cabin.
If you Have a good cliff, the cabin trick can knock 5 wrought off the cost.
If you have a village build crossroads outside the wall instead of making doors. OTOH griefers may destroy this so you ought to build the idol on a cliff....then you cna use the travel system to teleport off/over the cliff.
If you have something to offer you'll do best to find me in IRC.
