How are you "selling" the mines? And would two dozen units of flax cloth be enough?
Surprise.

Telling the 'buyer' where they are.
I very much doubt anyone would sell a mine of any type for 24 linen.

No, I wouldn't expect 24 q7 rolls of linen to be worth an entire mine. Doesn't hurt to ask, though!

Now then, you aren't strictly selling the mine- you're selling directions to the mine. Whether or not the purchaser is able to survive the wildlife, able to prospect, and able to get there before all the other people you sold the mine to, is not necessarily your concern.

I suppose you could easily find eight or ten buyers and sell them directions, but not escort, to the mine, and charge them each 1/2 or 1/3 the price, making yourself significantly more money. The more buyers, the more you can decrease the price per buyer. In fact, you wouldn't have to find them; tell people that if they bring in other buyers they get a discount.

You could do all of that, without doing any more real work.

In all seriousness, how much would the various mines cost?
Surprise.

*Shrug* last mine i sold was for a
chest of tin (they bought a copper
mine)

i escorted them to the mine, built
it and made sure they could survive,
this can include from walling in a cave
to building walls. sorta an all day thing
that i get kicks out of.

Uuuhhhmmm what? This is a small community. 1. That type of behavior would get around. 2. Whoever you "sold" it to and didn't get it would be rightfully pissed off.

Anyone can survive the wildlife with a simple branch fence.
