All i have to say is this. Anyone who has access to silver or gold can either trade that for good amounts of iron or also has access to an iron mine. To tell you truth you can just forget about getting a bar of gold or silver. Unless someone is desperate they wont give you what your asking for. Make your deal much smaller and you might get some offers.

but: if someone have access to a gold mine, he could, for sure, trade gold vs iron from time to time.
but he can also trade ONE time one bar of gold and get access to almost unlimited amounts of iron/wrought iron and steel.
