Wrought Iron for steel.

Postby Jfloyd » Fri Jun 19, 2009 11:06 pm

I have currently 25 wrought iron. I was wondering if someone would be willing to trade a set ammount for a bar of steel.

I currently have been trading my wrought for steel as well. Some settlements have much better security and more people make it easier to keep crucibles burning, so it's a good idea for both parties. This is something that really boosts trade IMO. Only the bigger settlements (or the very dedicated, not busy solo gamers) can easily make steel in large quantities, but wrought iron is easier to come by.

A good ratio would probably be 3 wrought bars for 2 steel bars. Talk to the big settlements like Laketown or Clayshire.

Well, I'll be willing to be generous, and say 6 bars for 1. If anyone wants to take me up on that offer PM me.

Laketown can accept up to 32 wrought (i believe we have either 15 or 16 secure crucibles).
We gladly (and already did before) turn your wrought into steel with profit for us.
We handle a 5 to 1 but bulk will be cheaper slightly.

Right now crucibles are all full and running though. But drop by sometime to kin any of us so we can contact through ingame pm.

Ok, I wasn't sure of the ratio. That sounds good to me. I'll do that sometime tonight.

Just so you know here's a list of people you can kin in laketown:
Kimya
Rift
theTrav
Wanderer ( me )
Gauteamus
Moonshield

They might not have seen this thread so they don't know what it's about, but they will pass on the message.
Checking our crucibles it seems like we will be getting steel within two days.

Does this mean you'll stop trading with me now that you've got a source of cheaper wrought?

Well, I'll trade with you as well, but I'll expect you to come to me :P

Wait a moment, I'm willing to trade three bars of wrought iron for two bars of steel. You're willing to trade six bars of wrought for one bar of steel. Now are you saying that you'd trade with me at my proposed ratio? This just doesn't make sense! I suggest we miners unionize and give a uniformed price. A good price that we all benefit from.
