That's right guys, I'm trading wrought iron for bear salami.

5 wrought iron = a basket of bear salami

I can trade in bulk.

5 wrought for a BASKET of bear salami? I'm sorry, but that's vastly underpriced.

you'd need to find and kill 4 bears. Takes like 2hours to find and kill 4 bears not to mention it's possible you won't find one at all.
The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

Which item is under priced? Why are you not scrabbling to buy it with the other item?
I'm getting fairly over people saying what is priced fairly and what is not, either put your money where your mouth is or shut it.

Which item did I think is underpriced? How bad must your reading comprehension be to have been unable to determine that from reading the other posts in this thread?

You're right! I should have said "Wow, he's trying to buy bear salami for much too little wrought iron! Gee, I think I'll try to buy the bear salami from him OH WAIT HE DOESN'T HAVE ANY". If you're wondering why I didn't try to buy it from anyone ELSE, I would assume that either (a) other people weren't going to sell bear salami at such a low price either, or (b) If they WERE willing to sell it, I'm still not willing to BUY it for wrought iron. I had plentiful access to bears, and wrought iron was far more precious to me than bears. Why on earth would I sell bear salami for something I consider extremely precious? I cannot produce wrought iron. Do you understand now?

That's an insult which is uncalled for Trafalgar, I believe my reading comprehension is quite reasonable. I also think it's wrong of you to suggest that I should try to derive the contents of YOUR mind from OTHER PEOPLE'S forum posts.

You assume he's buying bear salami? I don't see any qualifiers that say "I have this and want that", that would be another assumption.
I assumed from the 5 WI = 1 basket of bear salami means that if you bring him 5 wrought iron, he will turn it into 1 basket of bear salami for you, however I'm open to the possibility that it's the other way around.

You believe the bear salami is worth more wrought iron than what is being offered
Trafalgar wrote:(b) If they WERE willing to sell it, I'm still not willing to BUY it for wrought iron.

Wrought Iron is of immense value to you, so you wouldn't sell it for ANY amount of bear salami.

Trafalgar wrote:I had plentiful access to bears, and wrought iron was far more precious to me than bears.

Bears are cheap as hell and not worth much wrought at all...

Trafalgar wrote:Why on earth would I sell bear salami for something I consider extremely precious?

ummm... you don't sell stuff that's worthless to you to obtain things that are highly valuable to you

Trafalgar wrote:I cannot produce wrought iron.

The ONLY way you can obtain this good (ignoring stealing) is to trade for it.

Trafalgar wrote:Do you understand now?

umm... hell no. From the lack of paragraphing in your many statements I'd guess that you're feeling a bit angry and typing before you've thought all this through.

My stance is this:
Either you have a surplus of one good, and want to trade it for another good you have a defecit of
OR
You have no business in this thread.

IF your case is the former, then
Either the trade is good, and you should take him up on it
OR
You think you could offer a better price, or take advantage of his generous offer.

The correct reaction to the latter is to either OFFER A BETTER PRICE, or to buy as much of whatever he's selling as possible.

Ok, to clear this small flame war up, I was BUYING the salami WITH iron.

Not spending salami ON iron.

That means I give 5 wrought iron for a basket of salami, which is very easy to obtain.
