Saplings: All Dead

Postby Peter » Wed Jul 15, 2009 5:26 pm

I've got some potted saplings available of various sorts- 3 Mulberry Trees, 3 Firs, and one or two apples. Each one comes with a free, collectible Treeplanter's Pot!

I'd like some cast iron in exchange- and only cast iron, though I suppose wrought if it's all you've got.

I also will have some pine and possibly some apple if you'd like that.

Well I HAD saplings. Then there was a crash, and apparently logging off does nothing to protect trees you're holding...

Well, I'll just get back to work, I guess.

...if you throw them in a chest, then throw them in a cart, would they stay healthy forever?

Ah, thank you. I forgot about stasis carts.
Well, if there's no buyers by noon I'm still going to be planting them myself- but this does give me a whole new business plan...

Holy shit that's clever.
The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

I will be doing just that myself; The trees will remain available, and if you get me ahead of time I can plan some bulk orders for you. I have nearly 100% nature, so I can provide you with more trees than otherwise- plus you get the nice bonus LP for planting.
Speaking of trees- I'm going to have to thin out my new forest a little, so I can also offer lumber. That's either 12 blocks or 6 planks at a time.
Or, order the Paul Special: two potted Firs, four blocks, and two planks!

I'd like to offer a price list, but I'm not sure what prices we're interested in.
I'll put forward 80C for a planted apple or fir, 120C for a planted Mulberry, and negotiable costs for the various lumber products.

Those are pretty good prices-when I get some time on, I'll head over to your place with a cart and a few cast bars. Where would I find you?

I've found it easiest to trade at the Ring because for two reasons: one, because everyone knows where it is, and two, because I live smack dab on the edge of Mordor.

I can drop by the ring any time after around 6:00 PM pacific (6:10 from now).

You have the right idea, by the way. I'd prefer bars.

I guess I'll have to leave this decision up to Lare here. Tree planting isn't really my purview around our settlement.

Turns out carts DON'T protect plants.
Well, I'll be putting some on right away. Contact me if you would like some, and be ready in about two hours.
