So are any of the attacking factions planning to set up a market to replace Whatever Bay's, or are you content with just destroying the biggest community project and then quitting shortly after as player numbers decrease?

Doubt. Give it a few weeks and we'll see the typical posts of "why is there nobody doing pvp anymore, world it too big because i have to sail for 2 hours in my knarr to find anybody still playing after we made it so nobody wants to play".

WB was always a place gankers could come to find pvp, as there are always active hermits running around. After it's gone, I wonder where are they gonna go to find easy content.

Kind of absurd that you can announce a huge market full of loot publicly on display AND have Misa and Robben provoking every person capable of sieging their walls before a siege actually happens.

Their argument is that us sprucecaps are complicit somehow by allowing Robben, bob dole and misa to live in WB. We deserve to be raided and razed for not voting them out somehow.

I'm not sure they understand how WB operates. It's a village that accepts pretty much EVERYONE. Residents do not vote people in or out.

Plus, even if there WERE some sort of voting system, I don't think Robben etc would be voted out. From us villagers' pov, they've been the brave militia going out to defend against the gankers and raiders that have been visiting WB so often.

The vast majority of WB residents do not look at the forum and the shitposts. The ones that do frequent the forums treat the shitposts like standard HnH fare. It's trash talk just like 90% of what happens in the HnH official unofficial discords. Who takes that stuff seriously?

To be a pvp chad you have to have a big ego.
Look at how they talk to each other after they fight and cant decide who won.

It's a common technique known as "lying". They just want the wails and tears of people who don't understand what is going on, while justifying their abuse with "oh but X insulted us, so we're just going to wipe all of you out because reasons", while at the same time gaslighting their victims into thinking its all their fault. Calling it "social engineering". Which is creepy as fuck. Not one of them have actually contacted WB leadership before they began the siege to potentially resolve the issue. So this was a premeditated ego thing for them and a escalation of their previous failed attempt to score some easy ganks on folks too new to fight back. Probably triggered after the whole vgate cave trap debacle was exposed.

So basicly same story as previous worlds, repackaged ad nauseum. Saying stupid obvious lies in order to get a rise out of people. Sad really what folks do for attention nowadays.

I wouldn't take it too seriously. Towns can be rebuilt. Characters can't truly die. And this game doesn't really end until the server shuts down.
