The fact that there's multiple factions harassing them (and there was last world too) kind of points to that.

In my opinion it's both true and not. It is true that the way WB handled politics was pretty poor, but it's was not really a reason for multiple factions harassing the village.
Multiple factions were harassing WB even when it was barely known and there was almost no politics yet. Players here don't need a reason for harassing others other than "it's fun". (I'm not saying it's wrong, it's a game after all)

You can rewrite history if you want to, but the siege last world was 100% political. Robben was incapable of shutting his mouth and insisted on throwing stones at people who weren't even bothering WB and it led to an alliance against them, those are simply the facts. Misa also took it upon himself to be the entire world's power ranger and involve him/WB in affairs that didn't have anything to do with them, to the point that everyone was tired of them. It was more or less the same arc Northern Kingdom went through when Dani started throwing stones from his glass tower and badmouthing everyone that wasn't part of them, and we all know how that ended.

I'm not trying to rewrite history, I agreed WB politics was terrible. I guess I downplayed how much shit our PvP players stirred in my earlier post.
