I don't have anything to say over that fact that you are trying to express (in extremely bad faith) your disdain with how this game is, I just think that you and every single AI sloptard should kill themselves :)

Would probably be fun to watch if it wasn't just all botters who chit-chat over discord arranging fights amongst each other. It's like watching boxers in arranged, faked fights.

It's as boring and retarded as reading announcements by J&L of how they roleplay as gods in supposed "divine" whatevers, when they proactively push botting and cheating in their game in the first place, and then act out a little theatre play like that every once in a while to give off a semblance of I don't even know what. There are tons of games who have, some more some less, actions they deem problems, in some games that is the creation of alt accounts, in others it's bug abuse, etc.
There are also games with a lot of lazy devs, who hand out tools for modding their game.

But H&H is the only game I know that is like, "You know what? Our game fucking sucks, so here, modify away to automate everything that sucks about our game. We fucked up trying to create some mmo with norse magic n' shit that nobody wanted, and accidentally created a hunting simulator that people like though we have no idea why, having no clue or sense of direction whatsoever what to do with our game. We aren't going to make the tedious mechanics in the game less tedious, so that people will always have a reason to bot everything, but we'll also cater to the botters cause that's the core playerbase we invited over in the early worlds and built up from there." A game where the devs don't even ever reach the point of admitting that there is any problem with anything.

The amount of content that is in the game right now is actually insane. Yet the game is at the same point as it was +10 years ago, with no major spikes of players in all that time. I understand that carrot-nibbling Swedish seed-eaters got inspired by such masterworks like dwarf fortress to think that tuckering a nerd label on your chest, putting on your glasses as prideful proof of one's submission to the slave masters, and burrying your lifetime's works in a niche community is something to be proud of, entertained by, or otherwise emotionally situated on in any other position than disbelief.

I don't even wanna know how many hours this project has consumed of each flippin day, trying to rebalance shit, and to experiment around with all the different approaches on how the game concept could work better by sheer design, only to hit a wall every single time and still not find out that the game design is secondary to the experience a game sells. It's fine, you can't teach a dog to fly, nor can you make people passionate about things they don't care about. The devs never cared about the game experience, it's plainly obvious from all angles of how the game is built up. And in the same spirit, neither do I nor anyone who has played the game beyond the initial early phase care about these fake fights.

MMOs are always walking a fine line between being games and chats, but H&H does not have that fine line, it is simply not about the game. In-game you can hunt animals or try to ambush players, do a dungeon, or hunt your thousand's troll, but H&H as a game only exists as an illusion of newbies who never reach anywhere beyond a little spruce plot. And even in that illusion, you are partly dragged out whenever you see what advanced players do, or have, being riddled with questions to whom the answers are always smoke and mirrors, cheap cheesing tactics, botting clients, and a blissful ignorance of how much work it would actually take to get anything meaningful done in the game that nobody sane, nor insane would care about.

H&H is not a game, it's a forum. So much content in the game, and ironically, the more content was added, the more the actual entertainment parts transferred from in-game to social media. Nobody sits in the game and actually fiddles with the content except for spruces. These fights aren't just boring to watch, they are entirely a farce. The prime gameplay of H&H is exclusively to wait for the next meme-worthy post to appear on the H&H forums, to then re-post it on discord in a masochistic collaborative feedback loop. The game itself is merely the instrument which is used to tickle reactions out of people to extract any meme-worthy original posts from.

You might as well post videos of yourself playing an entirely different game, and I kid you not, nobody would fucking care. Nobody. The devs, the mods, you, no one. Not a single soul in this godforsaken place would mind because this is just a forum, it's almost more like a mixture between a loose imageboard and a forum, but not only would you get as much and similar reactions when you posted literally anything as alternative to what you did post, but most people, including me, would genuinely not even notice for the most part if you did.

There could be ANYTHING hidden behind your links, onion links, Epstein files, a CIA honey pot or an advertisement for an iron, and I would be none the wiser about it. And neither would anyone else here. Now, a year from now, or 10 years back when 2 downies tripped onto each other to start this game-engine based forum. It's like North Korea with their "Democratic People's Republic" label, or those blockchain-based crypto-tied digital platforms they call crypto games, where the entire thing is not a game at all, it's all just an obvious, cheap blockchain advertisement sold as game. Just here it's not cryptos being sold, only self-reinforcing exchanges of tales about a supposed HnH game.

That's basically my point, just explained in much more detail.

I don't hate Haven because it's a bad concept. I hate the fact that the game can demand hundreds of hours of legitimate progression while bots, private clients, exploits and broken mechanics can make that time worthless.

In a game built around persistence and loss, a level playing field matters more than almost anything else. If abusing the game is more rewarding than actually playing it, then eventually the game stops being about who plays better and becomes about who abuses it better.

That's the part I think Haven never managed to solve. :|

I love wasting hours wageslaving so that I can buy modding engines that have had their last gameplay related update years ago, all so that I can waste even more hours figuring out which mods will assemble the video game I've paid for.
