What is this expectation that people have to behave in some morally exemplary way in a video game? The behavior of snail is basically the norm youd expect in every full loot sandbox pvp game. Its weird that people think its weird. It's like youve never played rust or conan exiles or anything.

If I can bait people into delivering me literal paid tokens I'm gonna do it, probably most gamers would. It's 100% on them for their own stupidity. Actually not 100% because a portion of the blame goes to the people who made the market. It's all part of the game you don't get to decide how other people should play.

i think literall cockroach can make better points then you. Just fucking read your owns posts before sending them, pathetic.

This is the stuff. This is the pure, uncut WB hubris you just can't get these days. This is more proof of their WB relation than there literal declaration that they are.

and yet trap bases are just an accepted norm of other sandbox full loot pvp games, its not something anybody cries like a bitch over

these posts are honestly just hilarious at this point how melodramatic can you guys be over someone pvpnig in a pvp game especially azrid that was a classic "there are lines people don't cross" sometimes I genuinely have to wonder if you guys are aware that this is a video game

theres plenty of games that dont have siege and pvp, dont play the game with siege then clutch your pearls and cry "how can these monsters do such a thing?!" when someone someone uses the mechanics as intended especially the charter bait jesus christ it doesnt even scratch at the surface of being toxic or scummy its such a basic obvious thing to do in a full loot game, if something like this upset u i recommend finding a nice corner to cuddle up in ,invite some friends and hold each others hand while u cry together where nobody can hurt u and tell each other its all going to be ok

It's all because Haven is special kind of pvp game where 95% of the time you don't get to experience it.
People are having a lot of fun in the game without taking part in it and the very moment they are forced into pvp situation, they realise that pvp in this game is simply terrible.
People that love pvp and enjoy pvp a lot in other games don't want to engage in it in haven.
Even people that do pvp in haven agree that it's bad.
It's a pvp game without any focus put on that part, pvp is in a terrible state and is no longer being balanced or improved, all the patches are about base building and pve.
J&L said that PvP was meant as a tool of conflict resolution, but main use of it right now is stomping on weaker players.

I think pvp is fine. Probably the main reason its not being changed is because by chance they landed on a half decent system and every recent time theyve tried to change it they just made it worse and ended up having to revert it

Similar thing can be said for siege. At some point its just a waste of dev hours to keep retweaking it and not making any improvements

You have to look at the history of this combat system. We went from legacy combat which was insanely bad it was literally just anticlimatic perma death 1 shotting of each other. Then in haven 2 they went through a bunch of iterations where 1 world titan characters were absolutely unstoppable no matter how many people you had, then it was the opposite and it was purely a zerg thing with alt spam and good character were meaningless and then a good middle ground was found and fights actually last a decent amount of time and you dont feel some deflated sense of "wow I just grinded for a month for that?" after character die in 5 sec. Current system defenders get big advantage, super easy to stay alive and run away from any situation and the fights are drawn out and only unskilled players go down for making mistakes.

Its actually a decent skill based pvp system with a fairly low barrier to entry. I'm not really sure what the criticisms of it even are other than it visually doesnt make for good videos. I really dont think a generic system where u swing your sword in front of your character would even be an improvement. It's never going to be albion, this is probably the best way to do pvp in a game like this.

At this point is just about personal opinions, you like it and I don't and it seems that majority of players don't like it either.
Could be worse, does not mean it is good.
If we want to consider it a pvp focused game, giving up on improvements and letting it stagnate is definitively not the way to go.

My definition of decent skill based pvp system is definitively different than yours.
You can say that the entry barrier is low and it's a good system, but if that's the case, why does barely anyone enjoy it?

Sunk cost fallacy. They have spent so much time and effort learning and understanding the intricacies and interactions of the current combat system that everyone else should be forced to do it too. Not only that but also refining custom client features to provide greater advantages in this and previous iterations of combat.

They don’t care if everyone else thinks it sucks.
