Players have lobbied for that for years, but the devs aren't interested. I propose "public works" such as markets and wells should be immune to attack; with the downside they could not be built within an active personal or village claim, they would require their own space (as most wells are currently built). Perhaps a specialized "public" claim which would draw presence from the realm.

Best water in my area (I haven't found it) is q35. Best I've found is q24. Might as well go to maintenance mode and await a new world, none of that water will allow any progress.

Why would anyone make a public well?
Lots of work for no reward and even if you are friends with snail he will still siege you just like Norsca well.
You can always progress your character to be stronger then maybe next time a public well appears you and your friends can go defend it.
You don't need high q water to boost ur stats.

If you don't defend your beloved well you don't deserve to use it.

Lol Norsca and Snail were allied even after the WB split when Casuals/Ozzy/AD/WB Maze Refugees fought Hogwarts/Norsca/London for the three or so major fights before faction activity tanked.

This isn't Norsca not defending, this is just Norsca all not playing. Like most others RN.
