2 players looking for group

Postby Abomin » Thu Nov 07, 2024 12:50 pm

We are 2 players looking for a village. We have experience in other worlds;

My friend can do: forage, hunting, fishing and cooking
i can do all stuff, but i can not fight. I am a but rusty when it comes to mining but if need i can take up that role. I am interested in masonry specialist.

We are devoted and generous we will work for the village rather then for personal benefits.
We will allways produce more then we would need for ourselves and we can take orders.

Ideally we would like to join a group of at least 6 players, more is allways nice.

We can make a new character but ofcourse rather travel to you.

Greetings!

I could run it by the guys. We have 3-4 playing daily. and 2-3 who hop in occasionally. Oh, and one friend who we don't allow claim permissions. We play other stuff with him, but he's too much of a force of chaos on inventory management. He thinks it's funny to not care and just unload whatever he has wherever. But he likes to contribute. So, he's like a feral guy outside the gate, who we send on errands.

We're pretty noobish. Only one other guy and I have any experience. And it's only a couple months of gameplay, before the steam launch. So, it's mostly us digging in the wiki, or telling the other guys how to do stuff. Everyone else came in green, this world.

I think it would be great to have some vets around. We might be doing some really dumb things, and not realizing it. Our settlement is pretty simple. A sleeping cabin, and a storage cabin. Small farm. A coop, and a hatch. But we just started those, so nothing is too high ql yet. Leather production is up and running. Although we're at the point of needing more indoor space currently. New blood would be a good excuse to push the project. We have palisade stuff banked in an alt, but haven't built one yet. We're sitting in a stone wall, so there's at least that keyed airlock. We had one raid early on, but all they took was jellyfish and bone glue. After beating up one of our guys. The bone glue mugging did set us back on the pali tho. Hence the bank alt.

We seem to be pretty lucky with the location overall. Fairly peaceful. We had an attempted eviction day one from some hardcore players. But we stuck around, and are friendly with them now. They remind us to build palisades any time they see us. We're weak. But we're also a tiny active zerg. So I think they just sorta strategically decided not to mess with us anymore. They wouldn't gain much, and it would risk pissing us off. We might not be able to kill them, but with our numbers, we can be super annoying all around their claim. There's plenty you can do to grief people without engaging them. As far as we can tell, we're the biggest group in the local area. There are a couple aggro Ruskies to our SE that seem to be playing the game like Rust. They're annoying, but not powerful. If we get geared and skilled up, we might try to drive them off. But we don't really have any other active plans for "conquest" or anything. We also have a friendly group of four to our north that is fairly close. Neither of us have much worth trading yet, but we've opened the negotiations. Probably build a road eventually.

You can pursue whatever skills you want. We've tried to spread out what we're doing by player, but the most important thing is to do what you enjoy. We don't have some strict hierarchical structure in place. It's more of a commune lol.

We call ourselves Aevum. We came up with it over a decade ago, and have used it in countless games since. Again, we're not some strict group. It's just a group of buddies that have formed over the years, often around playing games like this.

International, but English speaking. More than half of us are in North America. So we'd be most active in during those evening/night hours. But we have a few guys hopping in before work to check vats and racks or whatnot.

So that's our story. If that sounds like a fit for you and your buddy, I'll dm our discord link so you can see what we have going on. We have a beacon request chat room, if you wanted to alt over. Then you can travel your other character later if you want. We don't have seafaring vessels yet, so we can't scoop you unfortunately.
