RoB Etiquette.

Postby Neyvn » Tue Oct 13, 2009 12:18 am

I was doing some trading at the Rings, and not having more then on tankard I offered my Tradepartner the use of mine and my one and only barrel of Booze. We Did our trade and I had just handed him my Tankard, the Hearthling Xybb comes up and lifts the barrel right up from under our noses...

We asked him to put it down. It was a FULL barrel of Beer. (Minus a few Tankards). But this was over the top. He began to walk away and apparently logged off.

I was under the Understanding that the RoB was a Fair Trade area, has this changed where anyone can come up and take things that do not belong to them. Xybb has returned to us our barrel but now I am unable to pick it up due to a Lagspike kicking me back to Login Screen, My Trade Partner is kind enough to keep it with him till then but none the less. All would have been required if none of that had happened...

Oh I saw the whole thing, I lol'd.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

The RoB isn't suppossed to be anything other than a place where we can all teleport from our travel menu. There is no game mechanic enforcing fair trade there nor should there be. Caution is always necessary when trading there. Nothing has changed

Also It's good you didn't attack Xybb. I'm pretty sure he is one of the most powerful characters in the game.

I only caught the part when you said "Put it down damnit" or something like that, then you poofed.

I had my own trade to do, and my trade partner decided to move away, so we did.

And what do I get when I suggest a trade interface? "Nope, I LIKE the fact that there can be duplicity."
Surprise.

sounds pretty funny. Yeah RoB is NOT a safe trading location. I thoroughly recommend taking the short walk into brodgar to make the trade in a more secure environment.

While you're there consider purchasing some of our locally baked carrot cakes
