I haven't been able to speak to joker since his character was killed.
I'm fairly disappointed that it went down this way, pre-emptive strikes are not cool and so far as I could tell Joker WAS starting to rein in his unsavoury ways.

I'd also like to directly assert that Joker was not macroing, he is a highly active player and was very focussed on increasing his melee and strength. Just about every time I saw him on he was out in mordor killing bears.

Well, I am very sorry that it happened the way that it did as well. I would have honestly appreciated it if he could have simply told me that he didn't have any intention of attacking Codexia. I was operating on the assumption that he was actively planning on attacking them, as he didn't tell me otherwise and there was evidence of him relaying that information to them.

I understand if you are personally appalled by the killing, but I'm not trying to be wanton or spiteful with my hits as of late. I'm willing to offer any kind of service you would like for the City of Brodgar in the future, be it good trade rates(maybe even a comp), ranger missions, or otherwise.

Thanks for the offer, it's not really necessary.
If you see a brand new player who is having trouble playing, help teach them the sticks to fires to pottery to farming introductory route, or if you don't have time just send them Brodgar's way and we will do what we can for them.

Also if/when the goons return as a force I don't doubt there'll be a need for rangers everywhere.

To those who didn't catch the story in IRC,

Joker had a friend named Morris. Morris(among other Italians) stole from and threatened Codexia when they were too naive to have their things claimed proper. He just so happened to do this one day when I was paying them a visit and dropping off some supplies, so he ended up dead in a hurry. Of course, he spun the story to Joker all wrong and Joker came back to Codexia looking for revenge. He destroyed one of their boats and told them that they were on borrowed time. I and my friends then warned Joker that he would be in deep shit if he attacked Codexia, to which he responded with 'lol.'

I know that he's been involved with thuggery in the past, so as far as I was concerned he was being given more than proper respect in even getting a warning. I understand that his English is not so well, but I'm pretty sure that he understood "don't", "kill", and Codexia quite clearly. If there was any misunderstanding, he didn't attempt to clear it up very well.

All of his stuff has been left to noface to do as he sees fit with. Any theft scent near the corpse is not my own. As far as I understood based on my interaction with NoFace, the quarrel was between me and Joker, not myself and the City of Brodgar. I am also willing to provide any services that the City of Brodgar may need in the future that otherwise might have been carried out by their hirdsman.
