I'm running out of places to stuff dough. Wouldn't hurt for some kind of donation pile near Brodgar. Maybe a bunch of urns where people can dump extra stuff.

Or I'll continue breaking into your houses and filling your ovens.

Status Report:

Work on the Copper Flats Mine proceeds at a good pace. We now have a road heading into woods, a cottage which is a step from completion, and I have been provided with a pick axe by the folks at SwampCrazed after a downpayment on my first load of produced copper (six nice shiny bars). I still owe them 11 more... lot of work to do!

OK. My main point to raise here.

Guys, I think we should focus communal energy on a marketplace in anticipation for the arrival of boats in the future.

My suggestion... there is a large area of land on the northern side of the river that is unclaimed, open field. How about we make a nice _big_ square there for trading. Merchant Square? Then, the land surrounding the square can be 'leased' to all the major towns in the world, so that they can have their own little claimed warehouse space. Trade can then take place in and around this square. Furthermore, it can be a place for you guys to trade and barter your wares, if you have any. I know a lot of you are working away on your farms making produce of one type or another.

The point is, if we want Brodgar to be a center for trade, we need to make it happen. This is a scheme that could secure the future of this place as a major city, beyond it simply being a newbie starting point/helper friendly kind of rambling town.

If people come, money come, everything else can develop over time. When some of us are strong enough, walls can be knocked down and built elsewhere, wooden shacks replaced with brick houses, etc. Imagine a simply fantastic looking Brodgar if you will. This will take time. But it will also take money. Trade can be our lifeblood. So, to those of you with time on your hands, lets get plowing, lets get paving!!!

Post up a rough plan and I'll do some work on it.

Also, the farm needs reorganizing. its a giant mess of random planting, which makes it a pain to harvest and replant the quality seeds.

Yeah, and also:
DON'T PLANT Q1 SEEDS!
In fact, nobody should plant any seeds below Q10. Use those to extend the grasslands.
Those found guilty of planting low-q seeds will be planted themselves.
Surprise.

I've got another seven or eight straw baskets of flour sitting around. Have you guys eaten the first wave of bread yet?

3 branches for bread, 2 for cakes and 1 for buns. Use just that to fuel your ovens, and you'll never burn your food again.

Nono, you'll still burn stuff if you ignore it. it takes between 2-3 branches to cook bread, but it will burn by the time the oven goes out. You just have to check on it every minute or so.
Surprise.
