There was almost nothing worth less than 10 coins. Even with the largest unit being 100 people were tending to save their payouts until they were paid in bars.
Now with nuggets the sole advantage of coins (divisibility) is reduced to zero. The only reason you'd use coins rather than nuggets is for aesthetic reasons (and for higher class metals like gold, silver and steel (possibly wrought)
now it would, for the first time, make sense to trade with coins, as you can use even small amounts of them (11 coins -> one nugget). The fact that still noone trades with coins, shows how useless they are. away with those stupid coins!!! let the trading proceed!
