****FIRST RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT OPEN****

OK, guys, feel free to build your houses now in Brodgar. The following restrictions apply.

1) Place your lot inside the south-east corner, to the right of the road running northwards.
2) Designate your lot by way of a pallisade wall, and gate. You keep the key.
3) Please only make your lot so large as to fit a wooden cottage. We need to pack em in! Think city, not suburb!
4) Make sure you pave the ground first, or your cottage will degrade much faster than normal!

EDIT: Upon further consideration, the area to the south of the well-plaza is now also open for housing. I am ok with the apple tree there being cut down, as we have a spare. Up to whoever takes that spot. Please remember to fit as many houses in as possible.

Heh, I'm thinking of also making a forest nearby to supply the city and such with woods and such. I'm kinda wanting to play a more social game this time around, but not really packed inside a city if you know what I mean.

Hmmmmm... in the long run, yes, I can see wood becoming more of a commodity, but have you seen the new world???? We are not short for trees. I suggest you try creating really high quality grain or something, and trading it to whoever wants to become our resident baker!

I've fenced off area for my home in the south west corner. Yolan's claim stops me getting as far as I want, but basically I want what I've claimed up to the pallisaide, and I plan on leaving a single tiles clearance (maintenance access) I am gonna chop down the corner apple tree as it's in the middle of my lot. ASAP I will plant a new one in the front yard

I will shrink that claim to just coveing the gate, now that you are there. Perhaps you would like to enlarge yours so that it covers the outside wall.

Temporaria is a bit north east of Brodgar, we'll work on building a road once our settlement is on its feet. We'd like to establish trade between the towns once we're both actually able to produce. Hopefully boats will be implemented soon so we'll be able to ship goods down river.

Sounds nice!

My main concern over the next few days is to see people settled into homes and set up basic communal farming/crafting. Then, I would like to establish a village idol, and hold an election for lawspeaker/chieftan.

In the long run, the establishment of a code of laws, and non-communal, artisan/merchant compounds would be great to see.

At some point I'd like to have a place with easy access to the river, if not actually on the waterfront. I intend to build a boat as soon as possible, you see. Could I have dibs on something like the shore just north of the trade depot?
Surprise.

If things work out, as I plan to be the port master of CoB, I will see what I can do benefit the people of CoB and those who plan to travel by boat going to CoB for trade or other...if i am elected PM.

!Vote for me PM of CoB! ;)
