Well there went my idea. I would have thought that Picking up boats would be impossible if it was on a village claim...
Unless I miss read it...

My other Idea is to settle the area. People would be less likely to trespass if someone is there living the area...

I believe the clay ground is already claimed, by two opposing villages, so no matter who uses it, a scent is left. There is probably a large number of scents around as well, making it difficult to pick out individuals.

Wait, boats are exceptions? Because all the other objects can be lifted with just trespassing scent, as long as you don't carry them out of the claim.
