Compulsory Happy Fun Working Time began today. 9 people including myself set to work on building Brodgar together. We fished, harvest lumber, plowed and paved as best we could. I myself ran around like a chook with its head cut off trying to make sure everything ran smoothly. Collecting Taproot and making waterskins...

I don't know if I got the easy job or not, but I didn't get as much LP or work done as everyone else. This is how a group of people should work together. Hopefully we got enough done. A few left early, but people appeared to replace them...

I might start doing this every second day. In the end we had people lining the Waters fishing to gather back the hunger and stamina lost, perhaps this will be a good method to gather food as well as build the city up. The Plots are now marked out with Torchposts (which are liftable) so things will be a little more easier after we get started up properly...

So far we have two or so empty plots that anyone can claim, but not without being 'told' in game by myself or Yolan. Screenshots will come soon I hope...

I let out my Little Evil Overlord today. I feel sorry for those who came on today. Compulsory Work Time means that everything you do goes towards the City, not yourself. So everyone was doing something that was efficient, and needed to be done. But I will let out LEO everynow and then if it gets work done...

Nano and Yolan, it would be of a help now if the streets have names. I find myself in struggle to explain what road i mean as we begin the side-streets.

Perhaps we might name "Dock Street" "Loftar Lane" "Haven Avenue" "Boar By-way" and other names in the same fashion. I cannot think of a word for a street that begins with J so that we might honor Jorb also, but perhaps someone who has the English better than i may do so.

I like this idea! The only problem is that engraved stones walk. We need J&L to make up signs for us.

Just a little food for thought because it look like you are receiving an overwhelming response to this. Assuming half of these applicants stick around then you're going to have a pretty sizable city. Making enough statues to cover all of these would be facilitated by easy access to a mine. You might consider finding one a priority before determining the location of your actual city. I think this will improve your odds of success as a city in general. Any way you go, I wish you all the best of luck and success. It sounds like you guys have given this a lot of thought and planning and from reading those plans I'd say you've got a great idea and plan!

I agree with you, but if they don't have a mine they can sort out some trading agreement to get access to metal. HQ clay in large amounts now has value, as it seems does humble wood
