Guys, the reality is that I am just too busy to do the role I thought I could do. ;-(

The lawspeaker really needs to be around about 10-20+ hours a week methinks, and I can't really do that. It's not fair on the rest of you, who live in Brodgar, and would like to see it do well, to have a lawspeaker who is never around.

I will certainly continue to live in the town, and help out, but I think it is time for me to step aside, even if I might some day step forward again (who knows, next world?)

So, officially, I am calling an election. Whoever wants the role of Lawspeaker, please make a post here and suggest why you would be good for the position.

People can then vote in favour of whoever they like the sound of.

I'd like to become lawspeaker.
Mostly I just have a lot of time, can't really think of anything else at the moment.

Kinda continue along the same lines, probably with slightly more power for the citizens.

But it probably doesn't matter anyway; in about 6 days after the lawspeaker announces his resignation there's 4 posts here, I barely ever see anyone in the village and a fair part of my kin list is other villagers with usually one or zero (excluding my own alts) online and the one that is online isn't even part of the village; I'm afraid this village might be a failed project mainly due to the fact that there is little need for a trading village (even with teleport limitations) and the game is quite hard to get started so there aren't a lot of new players.

There are a lot of players in the game, but everybody just dispersed like heck, and there is yet any reason for things to be otherwise.. hmm..

Still, it was a good experiment. I've learnt a lot for next time from a design perspective.

Look, Etienne, I'm just going to give you the leadership when I see you next, seeming as your the only person who wants it.
