That's a lot of steel to trade for. =d

Still, I would agree. Trade would be an excellent option in lieu of such. In a few weeks we should be well into steel production so give us a hollar once your food production is rolling cuz we'll buy foodstuffs. :D

I think clay of any Q even has value in large enough quantities.

I just stumbled across Brodgar a few minutes ago while looking for Windsown weeds. I was pretty surprised at how close you guys are from my port, especially after me and my friend explored for hours looking for other people in the opposite direction with no success. Funny what you can find down the road less traveled.

I'd be happy to trade with you guys later down the road, but right now there really isn't that much to trade with it seems.

You didn't take the WWWs hanging in the Drying Rack did you???
But other then that question, no worries. Are you to the far north, on a lake, just where the Supergrid joins (or something) the river does a funny thing where it gets cut off by another Grid to the east of the village. Cause if that was true. One of your guys gave me the cold shoulder when i stopped by and said Hi... And another was running around naked. Didn't talk to him...

I was talking to three guys making a fishing cabin or something the entire time I was there. I wouldn't take something as important as WWWs anyway, especially from a potential trade partner. That and I came up from the southeast. Take the river east of you guys all the way down until it stops then get off that and walk east more and there'll be another river that goes down to my homestead.

Cool, there will be lots to trade with. That said, New Brodgar won't have much in the way of shared resources, so really you will want to trade with individuals who live there. Once we have some more organisation we should have some kind of basic tax and some public funds for paying for stuff like banners and statues, but thats down the road

As far as a mine, maybe there is one nearby or not, but we are establishing ourselves with the idea that if the place is big enough it has its own gravity. People will come to where there are a lot of people, and bring what we need.

I was prospecting and there is a timber house directly on top of a gold mine, I could not reach the mine.

A thought:

People might want to start growing trees soon on their plots for branch access. Eventually the virgin forest near New Brodgar is going to be completely gone, and getting a few branches might become a problem.

Another thought:

Somebody mentioned it might be a good idea to have street names for New Brodgar. I mentioned that this would be hard because we don't have signposts.

Then I realised, we do have signposts. Travel signposts.

Introducing: NEW BRODGAR TRANSIT SYSTEM

Once we have built an idol and spread village influence, we can place travel signposts at all major intersections and such. These signposts have names assigned.

New Brodgar is already really big. Walking from one side to the other takes a minute or two now. It will only take longer in the future. With a signpost system we can port around our metropolis quickly.

Let's see... For quick update of what I did, I dug some new roads, paved some of them with stone, and hunted rabbits a little.
