OK guys, I am off to bed. I will add more people to the city in 9+ hours.

I removed my claim from the south gate, so, any tom dick and harry will, and are, wondering in. Disoriented first time players mostly, in their rag tags. This is good. Make friends. Get them to read this thread and figure out what we are about. Be careful of course, but be polite. As we are an open city, a 'random' person is not a cause for alarm, unless they are obviously stealing/griefing in some form.

Great work guys. We have done an awful lot in two days!

I own the left house. Jones owns the right.

For the record though I now can't access my own house because of the totem. I need to be inducted ASAP, lol. Good work anyway, guys.

I am currently locked in my compound, because the gate to it, along with all the stuff in it, is owned by Brodgar. :/

I've got the charisma for chieftan. I filled the role at laketown.

Fair warning though I play at GMT+10.

The benefit of that is that it's more around the clock coverage than having someone from yolan's timezone
The negative is that I will likely miss the majority of players.

I'd describe my character as being fairly mid level. Stats around the mid 40's, combat skills around 100, fairly undeveloped in the new skills.

Belief slider goals are:
Full Life
Even day/night
Even Civ/Barbarian
Full Nature
Full martial
Full tradition

If someone really committed is super keen on being chieftan then I'd probably be happy to step down from the nomination.

My vote for lawspeaker goes firmly for Yolan, he's been the most proactive member and seems to be on the most. It's important to have a leader who has vision and who cares about what happens (even if I don't agree with him on every detail).

If Yolan doesn't get Lawspeaker and steps up for Chieftan, then my vote goes to him for that as well.

What about hirdsman? Are they going to be elected as well, or government appointment? I'd prefer the latter if I was chieftan, and I imagine it would work out better that way

Nice to see we have someone with enough Charisma! I think we can leave it up to the chieftan to select the hirdsmen for now.

OK. Message to people who have claims on eastern and western gates. Can we please have these removed?

Thanks.

I'm throwing myself in for a hirdsman position.
I feel that I have enough time playing this game that I could be a positive role model to the newer players this town was made for.
I've seen almost every development, and have written 20+ articles in the wiki. I'd only use this position to signify that I'm someone to learn from, and wouldn't use it as a "Hey, I'm the hirdsman, gtfo" kind of thing.

Hey there, I'd just like to say that I might be popping in and out around there every now and then to help out! I figure (since I'm back) I gotta get some skills up, but I would like to assist those who are intending on farming and cooking -- Though, I'm not a citizen of any means (Gonna be hooking up with other friends and doing our own thing for that). Please don't mind me if you do see me tresspassing and such (I ironically had to do that on someone's claim to get some wood across faster for someone's home!). In anycase, great work on your city, its actually shaping up rather well! Far better than I ever could of thought of!
