For the record, Australia gets TONS of immigrants, and no matter where they're from or what religion they have, italians, greeks, africans, somalians, americans, brittish, iraqu's, indians, they typically maintain their culture.
For a long time we celebrated that fact and said we had a "multicultural" society, where cultures lived together happily. Our last prime minister (John Howard) upset that a fair bit, he was a son of a bitch that few people liked, he added some pretty stupid tests that immigrants have to pass to show that they at least understand Australian culture.
There's also a small amount of culture clash that happens every now and again, like when a bunch of idiots get together and decide they're aussies and the lebbo's need putting down, or the indians. I'm fairly confident that those jerks are in the minority and their actions are actually fairly minor in the grand scheme of things.
Point being, I typically agree that taking your culture with you when you immigrate is neither limited to muslim cultures, nor is it a bad thing to begin with.
I'd also like to point out that the pope has used contraceptive ban's and urged high breeding many times to achieve majority. Every catholic's job is to produce more little catholic soldiers. Catholic == christian
