Awesome I was hoping you'd volunteer for the job.

According to the currently enacted laws:
Lawspeaker is the legislative and judicial branch of government.

As law speaker you are responsible for drafting and proposing new laws, (remember you are obliged to run it past the chieftan for comment before proposing, but he can't block you, just make comments)
maintaining vote tallys and publishing approved laws.

In the case that there is a crime that needs resolving, you are in charge of assembling jurors and presiding over a hearing.
I'm not sure if sentencing is up to the lawspeaker or the jury though, maybe I need to re-read the laws.

Abivously you're also responsible for adding people to the village if they want to join, as is the chieftan.

Lawspeaker is actually a pretty cushy job right now, apart from the lack of pay.

Hi to all the villagers of Brodgar
I've a little request for you to help a new player like me
Yesterday i was travelling with my cart in your town when a chicken stepped in my way, and now my cart belongs to brodgar and I can't take it
It's on the road to the right of the village center, i've set a runestone next to it with written that the cart was mine. There is nothing valuable inside, just 4 straw baskets of low quality leather that i was going to sell

If someone can help me to get the cart back you can find me using PM on the forum or in IRC, i'll be logged out there. Thanks
