GOONS and protection

Postby Delamore » Sat Oct 10, 2009 7:03 pm

So perception has been fixed, Chernobyl is getting together and a thread will be posted soon. What does this mean for you guys?
Last map alot of towns with walls were robbed, some people were killed. This may or may not have been goons.
If you would like protection for your town, or just yourself from being robbed or possibly killed by goons and their buddies (Last map this was FP and Brofrica together with goons well over 50% of the population.) then here is your chance.
I will pick a few people who offer the best offers and that I don't hate to get goon protection, this lasts for a month or until you fuck up.
Steel, lembas all that sweet high end or high QL stuff is fine to offer, I mean if you've got it you're already a great target for goons and it isn't too hard to just steal it all.

Oh god they can see the ql of their items again, rape and destruction will reign upon us!
The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

Do you seriously think that anyone would play the game for your benefit? If it ever comes to the point where I can't play as a free man, I'll just find another game, and I'm sure most people feel the same. Or I'll just retire my main and become a griefer, focusing on whoever the current tyrant is. Serfdom isn't fun.

Rebellion is pretty fun, though.

If the goons do become tyrants again, then I will have much fun doing lightning raids on the coasts from my BOAT.
Surprise.

Huge difference between enslavement and a small tax.

Small is a very subjective term. What you asked for may be small for you, but it sure isn't for me.

Depends on the group, something like brodgar would cost alot, your own claim? Barely anything.
I've given out protection to a small village just because they traded us lots of bricks.
