You see there is a reason people are fooling you.
Your plans are nice and all, but they just cant work out if you put the current mechanics into consideration.
First of all there are no bridges and it is unlikely they will get added soon.
Second, it is unlikely that we will get the fractal map, thus there will be river system for each grid. Thus you dont need a trading town at all, no one would use it because its too much effort to sail and trade there.

Also you have a not so nice history of not so nice dedication to your "projects", thus it is even unlikely that you will even try to build it, not even speaking about that no one will want to help you. Just drop it and make a normal village with some friends, or join one (and stay there this time).
The world I love The tears I drop To be part of The wave can't stop
Ever wonder if it's all for you
The world I love The trains I hop To be part of The wave can't stop
Come and tell me when it's time to

Well the problem is, I can't simply give up this project now, as it will just make me seem like I can't set my mind to ANYTHING at all. Ok, if there is no ocean in the new map, then I will join some village and I will build a reputation, and when they actually do generate a map that has oceans. To tell you the truth, I am less of a leader person and more of a second in command person, although i will take the role of leadership if no one will. But I'm almost positive that if I quit this project, then no one will accept me, plus I don't want to be a hermit, and I can't just simply leave all the people that have wanted to join Haro Port.

And BTW, the bridge was more of an IF. I wasn't really counting on it, I was more counting on a system where town members can just take public boats and sail across.

That depends on a lot of events, and we will just wait to see if they happen or not.

Planting trees next to water reportedly raises the level in all adjacent squares.

This can be used to make a dam, or a ford or A BRIDGE!
