Charter stone and public mine?

Postby maltmaker » Mon Nov 16, 2009 6:19 am

what do you guys think of making a village and a charter stone near an iron mine ? there would be a claim so it would not be calimable, and i would have various vending machines with food tea better tools etc. also would have public coinpresses what do you think? any critique or ideas are welcome, as it may happen soon, or not at all depending on weather you guys think its a good idea? just some feeedback is all im looking for, and dont go stealing my idea! (although id really like to try this with a gold mine and see how that works out :-P )

Well, it would be a great public service, but I don't think you'll be able to find a mine anywhere noob-friendly.
Plus it'll go dry pretty fast.

I think it would be great to do, but it would be very labor-intensive.
Surprise.

your right there isnt one noob friendly, but the village does lower the animal levels i believe, and i do have access to Three iron mines nearby, so im not too worried about accessability, im mostly worried about the negative disadvantages to a charter stone nearby

The old RoB mine never got completely emptied, IIRC. On one hand, mines were a lot easier to get back then, but on the other they are much bigger now.

Not a bad idea, but the coin press will get stolen on the first day.

The coin press will get stolen and people will grief-mine it until there's nothing left.

Nah, depleting a whole damn mine is just way too much effort for any griefer.

Rather than a coinpress, just have a vending stand that gives out 99 coins per bar (or 98 if you want to skim a little off the top) and make sure it's always fully stocked
