It's not really a maturity factor. It boils down to the fact that even permadeath cannot cause people to really have any empathy for other people. That's human nature and has very little to do with maturity.

Thats why I said I hope for people realizing "certain things". Its not that hard to act reasonable, and maybe some people will start to meditate over their alignment and role in some near future. And I dont support RL politics as they are right now - there seem to be a hidden codex for people with power:
#1 Gather all advatages you can get.
#2 Do short sighted acts which will cause a lot of damage in the future.
#3 Always demand to be right, even if everybdy knows its narrow-minded.
#4 Never have an open and constructive talk with the opposition, you might look weak.
