Its possible that the basket decaed I guess. I have given up on collecting my rats and toads now and released them all for more purposeful endeavours. Another weird thing happened though... the leather I had collected turned itself into a 'hird cape' which I can't wear because I am not part of the 'hird.' Did someone really sneak into myhouse and take nothing except to work my leather into this weird cape?

Hirdsman capes are not even made out of leather. Maybe someone took you leather and left you the cape as a compensation ^^
