Who builds a mineshaft in the city? o.O And why otherwise the only exit spot from the mine be barricaded by the strongbox,anvils and runestones? Clearly, it is a dig in; you eliminate people in the camp; the survivors or avengers presumeably have no chance of getting into the camp via the gates, so the way you as an attacker got in is the only one; sooo you barricade it from the remaining enemy getting into the camp.

You are wrong here. AD did evacuation of settlement of people, most of them from USA. We will be helping them developing from 0 after move. Their village was wiped.

In AD I had a lot of same problems, people keep storing keys on chars, for personal easines of use. No matter they was told to keep them on alt, they kept taking copies... Thats why AD have sector system, and everybody had his own brickwall.
