The hops, they do nothing!

Am I really dense or is there currently no use for hops? I have all skills but murder, trespassing, yeomanry and steelmaking, and I don't see a "brew beer" button anywhere. Nor a brewing skill, for that matter. I tried putting them on the herbalist's table, figuring that hops need to be dried before use, but the table wouldn't accept them.

So, is beer yet to be implemented, or do I just have to think a bit harder?

Nice to hear I'm no just plain stupid
I know there must be a lot of things on your list for nature skills update, but I hope beer makes it in too. Can't have a proper dwarven colony without it. Oh, and it'd be neat if beer production also consumed precious wheat, not just hops like in most games.
