On the topic of prisons, me and my village was talking about taking someone and putting them on an island with nothing on it, say, a 10x10 square on a lake with a brick wall around it. Ferry the prisoner over, make them build their hearth fire inside the prison so you can see if they're online (the flame turns a darker shade of green if someone is online, so if the flame is dark green and no one is in there, then they've somehow escaped. Also if there's just a pile of sticks or an unlit fire, then they've escaped and moved their fire.)
The brick wall would give it a realistic touch and I think it's a good punishment for thieves and murderers. I mean, you kill the murderer and then they just start over with some LP from the previous character. If you keep them locked up, then they won't die as quickly and easily as a murder.
Please reply on this idea, I think it would be pretty cool and it doesn't have to be an official change in the game, it's just an idea to put out to other villages.

How do you plan on doing this?
With the current system, unless you physically log into their account and move it for them, you can't.

Same as you would do in real life; do something that would "urk" them. Also, you could just destroy their Hearth Fire, the HF inside helps to know if he's online and still inside the "prison"

Let me see if I have this straight. You're trying to keep them inside a fortress that you build, correct?
You can't move their HF, they have to do so, and nobody is going to willing imprison themselves. If you destroy their HF (besides leaving vandalism scents, whether it's on a claim or not), it gives them the ability to do a random wilderness spawn, or to spawn at a village/charter stone they are linked to. There is no set way of keeping them in the prison as of yet since there is always some way that they can travel out.
