Generally, mods are good at the game and have a good idea of what they should be doing.

Yeah, uhhuh..well you keep telling yourself that babydoll, if it makes you feel better. That is ONE answer and I'm sure it's seems pretty reasonable for the tourists..lol

Dear girl, I'm one of the new babyfaced 2001 newbies and I've managed to more or less accomplish everything your so-called 'preferred' players have on the first day(claim, explore, accumulate several medium quality spots); it just so happens that I have a core of IRL friends who play with us and someone experienced in the game to give us advice. Perhaps you might reevaluate the amount of moving mountains that the devs do for their so called favored circle?

This isn't some jerkwad MUSH.

bitza wrote:2) everything you're crafting right now, your chariots and dolls, are low quality due to materials and skills (carp? survival? dex for pottery?). curios scale with quality, as you advance so will the LP from them.

AKA : You're fucked over if you don't join a powerful community that can craft massive amounts of high quality curios. These groups already had an advantage with higher FEP on food and better organization, but I guess it wasn't enough.
As people said before, it sucks more and more to be in a small community not craving for optimization (or even worse, an hermit).
bitza wrote:3) if you're feeling like you're "falling behind" by not playing 24/7 (as i often did), remember there are no more botters, and everyone else is having the same troubles.

i give this game one week before we see bots for optimizing the switch of new curios, and a couple more before we see bots take care of enormous ressource fields (because the insanely low random chances to get the ressource harvesting curios will require this) and feed other boots with food and curios.

bitza wrote:don't worry about what's around the next bend, explore more, try and get into the 'wilderness survival' aspect of the early game, if your shit is getting jacked cause you have no yeoman, either move, or keep your valuables in your inventory when you log.

Did that last version, but now I can't anymore because some crybabies complained that bots forced them to grind daylong.

The test server was only up for a week or so and that was several months ago. The system also has changed quite a bit to what we tested there.

The devs do not favour us in any way, despite what Rhiannon claims. We started with brand new characters, without any bonusses or special abilities, yesterday as well. Just like all of you did. I just happen to play with a group of about 40 or so very coordinated people who have all played this game for quite a long time, always in bigger communities. Organizational skills and teamwork is where it is at. When you lack those you have to make up some bullshit of us being the devs favourites or something. (In before: Jorb removed cliffs in Sodom. Yeah that was a one time thing and he isn't very proud of it either.)

AD are 80 people :) We will need alittle more time to get to previous level, because we don't know system.
Your happiness with this system can be because you know something like tobbaco in w3, or something like that... this is my opinion... time will show everything.
You shouldn't blame AD, really. You did us like this. We adapt to system and take experience from others. Sodom's claims about "Ingame mechanics" and "report and then free to use" did its job.

Give it a rest.
No one said anything about AD.

I read on a runestone that AD caused the server to crash. Must be true.
