I'm also totally for pvp. arriel, if you don't like it, I guess its not the game for you. If you read Jorb's post, there really is no refuting it, as it is basically just logic...

I'm sorry I overreacted DoG - I don't think that comment is very classy, but seems like arriel is actually quite whiny. Abandinus is not, he has taken his death like a man, and once things have been explained to him he doesn't need to be told again, he's a good guy.

I do not think it is for you to decide. I`ve been playing since w3 and so far managed to avoid any combat. I`m all the more happy for it, because pvp system in this game sucks like nobodys business. I`ve been playing too many games over years to still have stokholm syndrome over things like that.

Define "obvious" then. There are people who agree with my point of view, there are people who agree with yours. We are both entitled to our opinions - which are based on a different ingame experiences. I believe you are going with the flow, trying to take the stronger side - mods/devs, you know.. I can understand that, but I don`t do it, personally.

Unlike many of the people, I prefer to a be a pacifist and not deal with combat and war. True that I learn how to fight and the idea for me is to not use it. Of course with so many dangers from hostile hearthlings as well as organized raider groups, that is would be very difficult to maintain so I study how to fight others, not just animals and I push my toon to the point where less things are extremely hazardous to my health. I prefer not to fight but have to learn how to as well as learn how to avoid these danger unless I become another number in the death statistic. Whether I like PvP or not is irrelevant, it is there and it will not be removed

You`ll never be able to stand up to people that play longer than you, if they are still actively playing o___O

wrong, because players CAN stand up to people who are playing longer. isnt it obvious?
Daemmon, alpha, the stupidest ever portgas, all are playing not longer than i am, but they can easily kill me.
AD started playing much later, but look, lots of players avoided fighting them too. did they always lose? hell, no.
DoG has mentioned how he stood up after his first village was destroyed, another example. there are many players who have been playing longer than DoG, but can they always kill DoG? or Nao? or kLauE? or whoever. think about it.
(im just trying to pick players who started playing after some time and well-known, not listing the strongest or anything.)
also, dont forget how "permadeath" makes this possible as well. you dont always die from pvp.
politics is another thing you can avoid yourself from being in the fighting mess, and making friends in game does too.
grouping up makes other fighters run, look at how MS-13 gangs ran from the out-numbered opponents?
(they couldnt know they were Pandas when they started running of course, they didnt even see how many there were.)

And that is exactly why people like Burningham are all for the open pvp system.

1) who is Burningham? obviously stupid. you dont even correct it. stupid2.
2) your first line is a false sentence, then the second line doesnt make sense. if you dont see that, stupid.
3) say, even if your first line is true sometimes. how do you know "that is exactly why people are all for the open pvp" when you arent them? that is your mere "assumption" not the "fact". do you understand what "assumption" means?
4) im all for open PVP system because of dramas and politics, and most importantly, player side can deal with griefers by pvp and/or politics using forums, not relying upon devs all the time for fixes or banning or whatever the methods they may have to take, like other MMOs. and im pretty sure im not the only one feeling this way.
there are more reasons for other players to go all for open pvp, but i see no need to list cause youd know better. if you dont, sorry, but must call that stupid, again.
