, but I overlooked stats. After reading Sevenless' guide, I now know its gonna be another 2 months to get 20 mm, 20 exp, etc. because of the 24+ curios I got.
if that takes you 2 months you're pitiful...my stats are all low, but I have both those at 30 even after starting a day late. again this isn't really the thread for this, try the "Please Ask Simple Questions Here" thread.
as far as curios, the only thing with a long study time you should even consider using early is an itsy bitsy's web. raid ant hills every chance you get, notice on that list MagicMan just pointed you to that 3 of the top ten are from ant hill raids. notice also that dandelions and conecows are in that same top ten, all of these are easy things to get. if you're having trouble with ant hills, just cruise around in your boat til you see 1 near the edge of a river(or close enough that you can run back to your boat) and raid then get the ants wet so they'll leave you alone then go raid again. once you get to 10 ua and have leather armor/pants/boots you can raid an anthill without having to move til you're done.
I think you're too focused on getting yeomanry and setting up a camp, early game(day 1) should be all about exploring and gathering and once you've explored and gathered you'll have the basics for a small camp...
edit: finishing up here:
your first hours in game should be focused on finding a good spot for a camp, not for setting up a camp. start exploring find a heath grassland or moor, once you have found atleast one ofthose in an area find a nearby forest both coniferous and broadleaf. once you find a spot with those terrains nearby you're usually pretty good, except when it comes to clay and water(worry about that later since you have no idea what you're doing). if you have both types of forest nearby you'll have access to all types of trees, if you have heath moor or grassland nearby you'll have access to all types of animals. now without you actually telling me what you're trying to do I can't get into any specifics here, but good luck and hope it helps.
