The only- ONLY- relevant color scheme is optic RGB. That is how the eye works, how all display systems work, and I will consume anyone who dares disagree with me.

The only concession I make is that for dying cloth, one may perhaps allow the use of red, blue, and yellow dies, or perhaps a set of preset dies. I will refuse to use a hue-based dyeing system, and will instead color my cloth only in the blood of hue-users.

he was referring to the use of hue/saturation adjustment in photoshop for changing the sprite colors.

Just get jorb to draw the item, and leave one completely white (with a bit of shading) for the base.

Then jorb makes every possible color variation (probably not that many to begin with) of that item.

I come home from getting a CT scan and I see Delmore pissing all over my ideas first thing when I get home. I am not an idiot. Have you ever seen an item decay Delmore? Well, they do that sometimes, and they take on a pinkish color. But you can only code things to turn pink. No other color, and I am an idiot for thinking so. So lets see, sprites for cloak... hood... trim... a few other little things... Yep, impossible.

ok, even if bringing myself in danger to get my eyes scratched out, i have to mention that there is also something like CMYG, which is used especially in high quality lightning and video signaling.

You're an idiot for stating a system that has nothing to do with the actual support for varied item colors and titled it to say "Look it can actually be done" while stating nothing towards how it should be down aside from the easiest part of it that would be obvious to anyone.

Anyway, I told you everything there is to know. The item equips an item, which can have it's color changed easily with simple code. And oh! The part I forgot... Nope, that's about it. Anyway, no need to be so pissy. Ideas never killed anyone.

You're retarded.

Because using some form of hue colouring - dynamic colour changing - or otherwise isn't possible or terribly hard to code.

jorb: It's called creative license. You know, that thing you seem to want to apply to logic, grammar and coherence? :)

It isn't too hard, but currently that is what is preventing this type of system. Loftar feels that it is not worth the time compared to other things so he's working on them now.
This thread made its self seem like a magic fix to make us get dying and stuff within minutes while not supplying an actual easy way for Loftar to add dynamic color changing.
Even worse the idea was made in a way that seemed like it was aiming for Jorb to sprite each and every color rather than use dynamic ones.

I doubt the OP intended this to be added RIGHT NOW, sometime after the LP and Combat system overhaul, new buildings, and all the other awesome shit J&L are planning to implement.
