start again - check for numbers in new windows.conf - put in renamed one - delete new one - rename old one

Hi guys,

I've only started recently (under a week playing) and I've been running into some troubles with Ender's Client. I get randomly DC'd every five or so minutes and cannot log back in immediately because I'm "Already logged in". It has unfortunately led to a character death so I'd like to get it sorted sooner rather then later. Anyone got any advice on how to fix the bug? Or if it's even a problem with Ender's Client?

P.s. I'm using the 32bit JRE on a 64bit machine.

it takes a moment for the server to get you logged out - that's why you get the message when trying to login too immediatly again

The DCing might have different reasons, be it your PCs resources or your Internet connection / settings or by just afking too much

some suggestions
check whether your AV is disturbing by checking for updates and grabbing priority
check with "direct connection" in Java Control Panel -> Networksettings
check with Taskmanager if there's enough free Ram also which other programs might grab network utilization

in CMD window at different times to see if there are timeouts (don't care about timeout at first hop to second)

when afking - best stay in a house and have a cupboard open - in the open have a build sign open - don't just stay somewhere doing nothing and afk

if you're not afking to push your personal beliefs you can type outside of chat window

ok on Vista 32 Bit you only can install / use Java 32 Bit

your run.bat looks ok

you might try with javaw.exe instead of java.exe - and edit a new line in containing pause

with pause the CMD window stays open and you can see if there are other error messages
(if there are you should screenshot, upload image and post)

Okay, I did this and now it's saying I cannot connect to the server whenever I goto log in. The CMD window also does not display any errors besides what was already written above.

I have yet to write the exception for those ports so I'll do that now and get back to you.

Strike that last thing, now I'm not getting a connection whenever I log in. Maybe I should try forwarding the ports on my router?

port forwarding is a good idea (would have been one of the next steps...)

And i assume you run Ender from that folder aswell ?!?

I put the client in it's own folder. I ran it from the run.bat desktop shortcut.

Okay so after three days of trying I finally got it work extracted the update file and skin file into the file containing run.bat! only problem is its running really slow! its taken 10mins to load up from the login in screen and all I can see now is houses and trees but no grass water ect and I cant move anywhere? I know my laptop is fairly old but it used to run enders client pretty well back in the day any one got any ideas?
