if you haven't solved the error yet you might download mvguliks collected haven-res.jar, rename existing first before moving downloaded into Ender folder

Seems to be a one time thing. Played for 12+ hours (RL hours), killed lots of rabbits and no crashes so far.

Thanks anyway!

Another problem with client...

Postby Matiszew » Mon Dec 02, 2013 12:40 pm

Hello.
As i can see there is thousands of threads like this, but no one answer fits my problem.
When I'm clicking red button "play" i got "autohaven file" but... When i'm trying to open it, appears the window "choose the program You want to use to open this file". So i've downloaded Ender client (64bit) and everyting goes allright until i'm clicking to "Start playing from...". Everything goes black and only the screen with my nickname and "Start playing from..." is there.
I have 64 bit WIN7 and 64 bit java.

Do You know any solution for this ?
If not, do You have any other idea how to run this game?

Did you try using Ender's 32-bit client? Might sound silly, but I'm running on Win7 64-bit and 64-bit Java, but I'm running HnH with the 32-bit client, and everything runs perfectly.

sorry if this has already been answered but I can't seem to find it and I'm not willing to wade through 400 pages. Is there a way to stitch the map segments together? The HTML file seems to only show the segments for the most recent session.

No idea if this will be helpful, but a search on "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: 0 incompatible with Text-specific LCD contrast key" in Google brought up this article:

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... 2d1ca4c532

Also found a (possibly) similar error on the Java bug reports: http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bu ... id=6503988
and this on a dev forum: http://aptanastudio.tenderapp.com/discu ... was-thrown

I think that was the clearest description of how to fix. The quick and dirty of it:

To disable ClearType i run: cctype or search ClearType in the Settings, where it is under Display.

To sum up, the display driver has font smoothing code enabled that is causing a conflict. It may be ClearType or something similar for your computer. (Several links I read through referenced ClearType, so this is the one I posted.)

Hope it works for you.
