How about adding the Alt+Click ping feature from Dota? It's used to point places on the ground, the map, objects, or other players. Basically making it easier to coordinate pretty much anything.

Graphic paddles on each side of the boat could make it square.

I have considered making it, in general, so that any one action can be queued to start immediately after the current one finishes, which should double as walking waypoints as well. It just hasn't been a huge priority, and I'm also unsure how to do it purely UI-wise.

Just like in sims. ¦]

It's unofficially there in Ender's (as you probably know). You can't ping the ground in its current implementation, though.

While I think this is a different issue from the one you responded to, it is true and I agree that it's not a nice thing. Do note, however, that the only reason that was so in Salem was because the admiral's uniform accepted more slots than the other clothes, which has been fixed since MM took over. Now people can wear almost anything, and I do have to say that I think that is taking it to the other extreme. While it's nice to be able to choose from a wider range of clothing, I do like in Haven that a character's clothes somewhat reflect the type of character it is or at least just what they're doing at the moment. I'd like it if we were able to find a good middle way between the extremes that Haven and Salem currently exhibit.

The reason why people only use dhelms and merchants robes it's because these have a number of uses (protection and more inventory slots) and, in the current game, you need protection and water to fight. Both reasons are far off reality: we wear clothes for personal taste and weather. I think that adding weather will help to resolve this isue and the intention of making the world of h&h more challenging.
I thinking something it's easy to create in the current system, a status effect like "A Thorn in the Foot" where:
-If you don't wear warm clothes you get a "Freezing" status wich drain SHP, later HHP, AGI, SRT, etc.
-If you go swimming, something similar would happen. If you get both states together you are mostly fucked up, unless you use better clothes, build a fire, a shelter, or drink some alcohol or hot tea.
-If you sprint too much you get too hot and you can pass out, so you have to drink water o go swimming to freshen you up.

So now clothes, fires, shelters, beverages, run, swimging, fighting, farming, even chopping wood have a new variant. And you can even add diseases.

¿How idiotic it's to expect that something remote like this is goning to be implemented some day?

On the topic of variety, new crops would be great. Especially if said crops are restricted by what season it is.
It would be crappy if Wheat and Flax/Hemp were restricted to certain seasons, so either these essential crops grow all year round or there are variants that provide the same.

Probably thinking too far ahead, but it sounds great on paper (or forum in this case)

Yeah this could be a great thing: 1 in game year would be 4 months IRL. One month for each session. Imagine that you have to take care of your crops for 2 months, and until you collect your new crops you have to live with the past year's production. So now, one ocation every 4 real months, h&h will have a harvest celebration in spring. A barn for grain storage is now needed. Imagine what it would be to lose said barn. Now war have a diferent meaning: you could take down an entire faction by destroying their fields. Economics now have real impact because if you lose your grain you lose an entire (in game) year, wich means now you have to get food elsewhere to survive (buy it, steal it, etc). Something like this could chage the game in so many ways without even changing other mechanics. But I don't think that a lot of players and even the devs like the idea.

Correct me if I am wrong, but h&h roughtly situates after the last glaciar era.. so... Thinking of all year arround cold world is not that crazy. Also, it will help reduce the use of a recently created army of new chars.
