Don't know how it's gonna work out since accounts are still free to make with no boundary.

I have no problem with that. If people can dedicate time to raise a child alt they should be rewarded by that. Besides, the titan concept might not even be that relevant with the new changes to combat. And as I said, alt accounts are not forbidden so you can simply make a new one and stuff the already grown alt with cheese and curios for quicker titanhood.

It's only natural...

Wut? A lot of stuff is not implemented into games, but is still thought through by the community, and when problems arise from the concept, they are mentioned, and thought around. When some introduces a concept that sounds all well and swell, you got to think through it, if you find problem then you: address it, balance it, or work around it. Another reason why people are allowed to comment on ideas, you never know who might think of a way that something as simple as (insert idea here) could break the game, you know ;) .

That was more or less a joke. And I really don't have much a problem with it either, if the scrub wants to waste their life for arbitrary "power" in the game, by all means, let 'em. And true, the Devs did say that they where re-working combat with movement combat in mind, so that might not be a problem, might...

EDIT: I was talking in prospective of this current world's mechanics, btw.

I'm not sure if having children in a game like this is acceptable at all if I'm honest, firstly as Ven has already said there would be some serious questions that would arise if you were able to harm children in any way at all, which leads me to also think that a game where you could trade children is also distasteful - though you say there is a game you can do this in ...... then what about if the parents get killed and said child is left trapped in a palisade to starve to death?

Nothing about any of this sounds fun to me.

Growing a char slot is a different matter if they don't take on the appearance of actual children and maybe that is more what the devs meant .... it's hard to comment really without more details on their thoughts regarding the matter.

Murder is in the game so why not spice it up with a little good old domestic violence.

Not trying to be mean but it honestly sounds like you want to just play real life the game.

 - yeah maybe, ............ but, no, not really, I want to play real life survival, but not with children in tow, lol.

I'm sorry, but I can't help it if I find cruelty to children distasteful, even in a game, it's just the way I'm made I'm afraid. :)

I just mean you seem to be against anything that is out of the ordinary or fantasy related. There is nothing wrong with adding a little mystery and magic to the game, I truly doubt it will have any great effect on the hardcore survival aspects. I feel that any additions which move away from reality could only make the game more interesting, to a certain extent.

Yeah you are correct showing or being capable of violent acts against children in a video game is probably not the best idea but I don't have anything against it either. Violence against anyone in real life is obviously bad, child or adult alike. In a video game however I personally don't see any difference between violence against a child or an adult because I know either way it isn't real. The age makes little difference to me.

Point being I have no issue if they decide to go towards a more fantasy-related and/or magical realm because I don't play this game to mimic real life, I play it to escape it. As is true with most any non-simulation game.

Yes, and ofc I play to escape rl also, you don't think my life resembles Haven do you ........... when it comes to the magical fantasy side, no, I don't want it in Haven but that is just my personal taste, it doesn't have to be yours.

Haven fits my fantasy scenarios which involve surviving some kind of apocalyptic future, being marooned on an island, idk, that type of scenario, that is my thing, just like you have your ideal 'thing' - we don't have to all think alike and I'm not questioning your personal preferences.

Why does it matter to you so much what I like or dislike? It's not as if the devs are going to listen to me now is it and then follow my directive to the letter, if they were I could understand why you would want to change my mind, but they're not, so what does it matter? :)

Because it's interesting to see someone who thinks hurting children is distasteful in games but spends a lot of time in a game where brutal gang 20v1 murder and destroying homes is a daily thing
