Claim "Presence"

Postby Ragnar214 » Mon Aug 31, 2015 5:02 pm

Can someone explain this? I read the description on my claim token but I don't quite understand how this works. As long as the token is in my Study Pool anything I study will go towards "Claim Presence"? What exactly does that mean. And how do I tell how much LP I need to upkeep my claim?

presence seems to be a form of claim upkeep, while you keep the token in your study, you get the same lp from curio's, but you also get a percentage of that LP added to your claim upkeep, via the token. the numbers at the top, for example, are the current/max upkeep levels you have. for eample, 50/100 would mean your claim is half full, and needs another 50 presence to be maxed out, whereas 100/100 would be a full meter, and doesn't go any higher once youreach the number. as your claim expands, the presence required goes up

Your claim now has "Presence" and needs it to stay active. When it runs out of presence then it either disappears or stops working, no one is sure which yet. The larger it is, the more presence it requires. You can either put learning points into it directly (don't do that) or just leave the bond of blood and soul in your study window and it will passively feed presence into your claim every turn you earn learning points. No one has an exact formula for it yet.

Okay thanks.

How long does a full meter last? Or what does it decrease by per hour? Does it say that anywhere?

Also can we have multiple claims? (Could we in HnH 1? I never tried)

we couldn't have multiple claims on haven one, and i'd assume its the same way now. as for the hourly drains etc, thats the kind of thing that would require experimentation over the couse of a couple of hours, i'd imagine most of us are too busy building up every drop of lp we can, so you may have to work it out for yourself, sorry.

Drain is incredibly negligeable for a small claim (15x15) and you get 1 presence per LP earned.

It's not likely to be an issue except for much larger claims. I think someone mentioned it doesn't scale linearly.

No problem I've figured it out now. It would be nice if we could have a multiple of claims. I wouldn't mind having to have 2 upkeeps

As i have seen one can have multiple claims.

The LP in them are not refunded in case you dissolve the claim...

well it was only an assumption, i cant see why people would be allowed multiple claims, though. sounds like a recipe for trouble if you ask me :)

Also it would seem we don't need Ranging as a skill to follow scents anymore?
