Fixing broken surveyed areas
If you use the survey tool and increase the land level you might end up with something similar to this.
If you do and you can't access the survey flag, try dropping a few dirt next to the broken landscape and see if it fixes it like the next picture.
I would be careful using the survey flag increasing the land level. You can potentially end up with broken landscapes or unaccessable survey flags.

Nice to see you playing Xcom, and thanks for the heads up!
If you drop dirt out of your inventory, when it "decays" it raises the ground level. Sounds like that's the way to go then.

Unfixible possibly, but cliffs are always scalable in this so it'd still be passable.aradar wrote:i wonder could you use that to make impassable mountain areas ?? would be neat to do that around a big chunk of land lol
Devs might need to look at it if someone starts griefing.

Re: Fixing broken surveyed areas
I don't think you can exploit making mountains. Simply dropping soil next to the ridge or digging down you could remove the ridge. But you could possibly make unremovable survey posts that covers larger areas.
