I sort of agree but waking up and finding your groups three log cabins gone for no reason is really sigh inducing.

I just wish there was some sort of way to physically defend yourself at the beginning. Like being able to push someone over haha. No damage, just to give you enough time to pick up your tanning tub.

A little counter intuitive that your character can smash a cabin down but cannot fathom slapping someones shit without major investment.

In my opinion the real issue is that you get log cabins too quickly. If they required 1 piece of string before you got the recipe then much of the suffering going on now would be alleviated. Leantos are the way to go early on until you have the 1,500 necessary to place a claim.

Maybe because you are smart and we are idiots?, or..... maybe because people is used to old soak values and in previous worlds, at this stage of the game, was hard to find chars with enough STR to be able to destroy houses (we only needed to place HF at the entrance to feel safe).

There has been a lot of changes and we are learning from experience.

Even if that's true, destruction of houses are only a fraction of the problem. Someone could simply place a claim on your house and there's really nothing you can do. The logic of "pclaim your shit or free game" still stands

True, I've just built one before having a claim to check out how it looks in Hafen because it was so cheap for me to make. A few minutes of work.

You are right, it is possible, it has happened in previous worlds too, and we should get used to be more carefull.
But then again up to now it was early in the game, now starts the 3rd day when it is not only possible but also probable.
