Because they are too damn heavy. You can lift them once you chip at them, make them smaller.

That's right. It doesn't seem natural to be able to lift huge boulders. I always found that quite strange in the old haven, and it makes sense that they changed that.

You could never lift big outside boulders in old haven. Only small cellar boulders that you dug out yourself.

Merla wrote:- We can color code usernames in the kin list, but why can't we have a feature to add notes about each person so we remember who they are? With so many players in this version it will be hard to keep track of who is who and it would be a nice feature to have instead of using a text document.

i just memorize people and change their names to something that will maybe make me remember who they are. like nicknames, lol.
or add something after their name if i have them kinned.

btw, i thought the "describe" feature on salem was pretty cool, is there any reason why it wasn't implemented on hafen? anyone?

I meant the small boulders. The big boulders of the old haven were much bigger that the current ones, and had much more stones (or I think so).

I also forgot to suggest something: It is logical to not being able to lift boulders, but maybe you could somehow load them in a cart or something? I'm not sure if that is possible to be implemented though, or if it's a good idea.

It might be that there is a check against str when you try to lift a boulder...

- I would love to be able to add landmarks(Icon with some text where I want) to the mini map/map, it would be very useful for me, I wouldn't even mind if you had to learn a skill to do so.

Just dig land up or drop dirt, it changes the minimap. Otherwise building a village will do this.
- Why are worms so rare compared to H&H 1?

Because of leveling you're expected to dig so much more. You may move thousands of dirt in a few hours to level land in Haven 2.0 compared to the small amounts of dirt you needed to dig in Haven 1.0 unless you were planting a forest.
- Will there be decorations and such like there were in Salem? I know not everyone is interested in them but I enjoyed it.

Hopefully, niceties didn't have priority over necessities in the initial launch.
- Can you starve and take damage while offline? If so isn't this an oversight considering all of the crashes as well as server down time to implement updates? For instance you are starving near death, you go to cook food and they bring the server down to update before you can finish cooking/eating it..

Nope.
- Why can't we select a very large radius to "make level"? It seems we can only select something like a 30 by 30, 20 by 20 or 15 by 15 radius.

Abuse of the leveling system to create impenetrable walls and weird spikes in the land. No one is ever allowed to have nice things.
- Why can't we dig our own cliffs easily, it seems so complicated?

Abuse of the hunting system. No nice things allowed.
- How does it make sense from a game play perspective to log into your claim and have aggressive animals attack you & knock you out immediately within seconds?

Animals don't spawn on claimed or paved land. They can wander onto it though, so it's important to have at least a picket fence around your home.
- Why don't we get learning points for discovering spit roasted meats?

You gain discovery lp whenever you discover a component piece, not a final good. Objects that can be used to craft something else or do something else give lp.
- Why can we only add branches to fireplaces only from certain angles?

You should be able to add them from any angle unless you're getting caught on nearby objects or structures.
- Why is there a woodcutting sound when cooking?

Because the dev team consists of a programmer and an artist. It's Kaka's fault for not staying active with them as the music guy. =D
- If we have cosmetic hats, what's the point of using them if they do nothing? Why can't we wear them over our other hats so we can get the benefits of both?

This has been brought up elsewhere but for now that's the way it is. Cosmetic rewards have always been a penalty in Haven though. The dev awarded cape for reporting game crashing bugs is historically worse than any other cape you can get.

If this isn't already in, it would be the perfect idea! :)

- While that could work to some extent, it would take way to long and is not really descriptive or what I really had in mind for minimap landmarks. I want like little icons akin to the plants and animals you see on the minimap.
- That's true, cosmetics wouldn't have first priority, hopefully they are added at some point though.
- So glad to hear you can't starve and take damage while offline.
- Honestly I feel the leveling system needs to be at least two or three times faster, I literally spent many, many hours just working on leveling a few tiles, and it's not fun at all. I understand creating cliffs easily could be abused with the hunting system, but maybe someone has a good idea around that?
- Ok, I suppose the fences will help with the animal problem then, I still don't feel that it's very new player friendly. Perhaps implement a timer where your first week of playing animals can't wander into your claim unless you or someone else on your claim is attacking them?
- Ok, That makes sense about LP gain.
- About the branches and fireplace, from what you've told me, it seems I had encountered a bug then, because I could literally only add them at certain angles, and I was not getting caught on anything that I could see.
- Oh I see, well hopefully they fix that sound at some point.
- It honestly doesn't make any sense to me for cosmetic items to be a penalty, they should just be neutral.

As always thank you for your input. :)

Should you ever tried to run around with a dev cape in legacy you would know what he ment: usually your life expectancy dropped to a few minutes.

They should really make navigating the inventory and interacting with objects less of a hassle. Now there's a delay every time you right click anything, then every time you click one of the options, every time you pick up an item with the cursor, every time you drop it... it shouldn't be like this, it makes interacting with anything extremely slow and annoying (unless you have <50 ms ping). Like why does opening a radial menu have a delay? Shouldn't that be client-sided? Well fuck if I know how the game works, all I know is that it's always been a hassle and it shouldn't.
