they don't naturally heal so it converts it to damage that does

10 pts of leech burn healed overnight (less than 8 hours). In that time 4 pts of bruise healed.

So yes, they heal much faster.

Gotta say, this is the first game I've seen MMO style that's intending to tackle a real medical system. I'm interested to see where you go with it.
