all character seem to be between 4 and 5 feet tall, given the time period that height is range is the norm. Haerthlings are human as far as i can tell.

They seems to be unproportional for typical humans.

No during the time period this was normal humans have gained inches over the generations. They average was indeed 4-5 feet tall during this time period and even leading up into the revolutionary war in the Americas, where it was heavily noted that the americans were about half a foot taller than the british due to diet, as we have ventured into the modern diet our heights have since increased, the average ranging from anywhere between 5-6 depending on where you are, where you grow up and the food in these areas
